Renewable & Non Renewable Resources |
Mrs. Arthur's 6th Grade class did a unit in 2017 on the effects of PFOAs on the environment, animals and humans. For example, students researched the relationship between non stick pans and birth defects, toxins created by aluminum foil and how cows eat grass near aluminum foil factories and they lose their teeth from the toxins and the breakdown of plastic bags. Students then create a "Be Green T-shirt" to convey a message around protecting the environment and using resources wisely.
